It’s built entirely by hand on top of StatamicCMS using the excellent PageBuilder addon from Studio1902 and some custom hand-rolled Vue3 app components.
The images in the page banner across all the pages are served by my open source project PicturePortal. Because it’s self hosted, images aren’t served from a CDN (upside: no reliance on 3rd party big tech; downside: latency) - although it’s on the PicturePortal roadmap to add map internal URIs to a CDN to reduce image load times.
The photos themselves are from my own portfolio and may not be reused without permission. All rights reserved.
How it works
PicturePortal provides a REST API with a number of endpoints. One of these endpoints returns a JSON response with a specified number of random images from the “public” tagged collection. I’ve written a tiny Vue3 app which calls this endpoint and then loads the images into the page banner.
